Holiday Open House | December 7, 2012

By Rebecca

The holidays are here! I’m so excited because I love the holidays and the fact that people seem more cheerful and giving than usual. The taste of peppermint hot chocolate and the pretty lights on the houses that convince you to go out of your way to drive down streets just to look at them. I love decorating the tree with ornaments that we’ve collected over the years from vacations and the ones that my daughter’s made for me. I wish it could be Christmas all year long!

Well, this has been a great year for me and I am excited to share all my fun new designs with you and hopefully you can check some things off your list! The open house is going to be so much fun – I am SO EXCITED! There will be personalized, monogrammed gifts, stationery, Christmas and holiday cards, fun gift ideas for kids and adults and you’ll hopefully be happily surprised by all that you see! For those of you who have visited my Facebook page recently, you’ve seen a glimpse of what there is, but there will be some unveiling of new items at the open house.

I try to focus a lot on giving back this time of year because for twelve years I was a single mom and so many people thought of us. This year the giving back is going to be amazing! I am in charge of a Giving Tree for many families in our church and this is something I’ve headed up for the past three years – the thought of not having something to open for Christmas just breaks my heart, so I’m very grateful that I can be part of something that will bring a smile to many faces. Our family will also be doing 25 days of Random Acts of Kindness for the month of December and as part of that, we will be making toy and book donations to the Boston Children’s Hospital. I chose the hospital because when my daughter (now 15) was just 2 years old she needed surgery and it was just a couple of days before Christmas. It was a scary time for both of us, but the staff at the hospital took such good care of her and gave her gifts and Santa came and it made things just a bit easier. . .so we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and books at the open house and they will be donated before Christmas.

Come enjoy refreshments and enter to win some of the door prizes! Please contact me with any questions.
