3 under 3!

By Rebecca

Happy Friday! Yes, you read that right, we’re going to have 3 little one under 3 years old. In just a few weeks we’ll be adding our last little addition to our family, making us a family of 6! I can’t even believe it.

The other day I was looking for new stockings to hang on the mantle for Christmas and realized that I need to buy six! We need a completely different style because, as much as I love our Rudolph ones, there aren’t enough designs for our family. So I’m on the hunt!

Madeline’s away at school, so it’s just me and the little girls all day. I won’t lie, I don’t think it’s going to be easy, but I hope they all become best friends as they grow up. The age differences are all really close. Penelope and Magnolia are 21 months apart and Magnolia and the new baby will be exactly 12 months. I do think that as they get older it will be a lot of fun as they’ll be similar ages and hopefully like some of the same activities and toys.

I worked really hard this year to make sure Penelope was potty trained and I also wanted Magnolia walking before the new baby comes and I can excitedly say that they have been made me so proud. Life will just be easier. . .and a lot less expensive without having to go through so many diapers. The girls of course have accomplished other things, as well, but those were the ones that were important to me.

I do love that I’ll be able to dress them all really cute. For Christmas we’re getting them a shared dress-up closet for all of the costumes that Penelope already has and I’m sure the other girls will soon have. Three little girls in tutus sounds quite adorable to me.

Like I said, I don’t expect this to be easy – I mean how am I supposed to get all three of them to the car at once? I’m pretty sure I only have 2 hands and I prefer to make fewer trips, so I think it’s just going to take me a little longer to get things done. I see a huge learning curve here.

I’ve really taken too long away from the blog and have had to think about what I wanted to achieve with it. I’ll still post design and stationery projects, as well as highlight some of my favorite items out there that are gorgeous. But also, because life has become so drastically changed over the past couple of years, I’m going to start to highlight a few of my favorite baby items that already make my life easy, as well as some new ones that I think will make my life easier this time around. I’ll also post some fun craft projects that you canDIY and maybe some fun kids craft projects, too. Hopefully this will¬†make the blog more useful and fun and interactive, too.

So, I’m excited about this new adventure, as we add another little princess to our family. Thank you for joining us, as we learn the ropes and learn from our mistakes. I will continue to take on design projects, but I am taking a break from custom projects until after the new year. If you need monogrammed stationery or birthday invitations with a design that already exists, please feel free to send me an email. Happy Fall!
